At Revelation Bodywork & Pilates, our commitment is to offer an intimate, tailored experience. Our Co-Ed classes, echoing our philosophy of individual attention, never exceed five participants. Before immersing in a group setting, each student is required to attend a minimum of one private session. Ensuring the right fit for group dynamics, the instructor determines if additional one-on-one instruction is essential.
Guided by our holistic approach, these classes are tailored to cater to diverse proficiencies. We welcome most students, from those who are somewhat new to Pilates to intermediate students, ensuring everyone is attuned to their body's needs. However, it is required that beginners attend at least 10 Foundation classes prior to joining a mixed level class. Classes seamlessly integrate the Reformer with additional equipment like the Pilates chair and tower. To enrich the experience. We also incorporate mat basics with specialized props to deepen the experience.
Begin your transformative journey with key Pilates principles. This class introduces pivotal concepts such as optimal spinal alignment, stabilization of the pelvis and shoulders, effective core engagement, and the safe use of equipment. We also delve into the unique language of Pilates, ensuring you grasp the nuances often overlooked in conventional fitness sessions.
Elevate your practice by building on the foundational principles. This class encompasses both beginner and intermediate repertoire. For those ready to ascend to higher levels, our instructor may introduce advanced exercises, ensuring each student's growth and connection to their body's potential.
For experienced students who have been attending classes regularly or are recommended specifically by their instructor.
The Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education uses gentle movement and directed attention to help people increase ease of movement and range of motion, improve flexibility and coordination, and rediscover their innate capacity for graceful, efficient movement. These improvements may also enhance thinking, emotional regulation, and problem-solving capabilities.
Awareness Through Movement® lessons are taught in a group setting, with students following the verbal instructions of the teacher. These lessons are generally given on a mat with small props provided in the studio.
Both Pilates and Feldenkrais methods are great ways to improve fitness and body awareness. While Pilates is focused on muscle toning, flexibility and balance, the Feldenkrais method helps clients master healthier ways of moving. Both modalities are also known to be beneficial in pain management.
Classes incorporate reformer, tower, chair, step barrel and other traditional Pilates equipment in a small group setting. No more than 5 students ever so instructor has ample time for attention to detail.
